Travel
My dear friends,This picture LOOKS all fine and dandy until the boat started moving.
I had to literally sit with one cheek on either side of the two front seats in order for the boat not to tip!
Such began day one of our 5-day holiday.

Alone
THE BEGINNING OF THE ENDFive years ago, in February 2021, I preached at a “Woman’s World Day Of Prayer” service at Dunant Park Retirement Village.
It was a special day for the residents because it was the first day after covid lockdown that they could have a meeting – but for me it was the beginning of the end of Gj and I’s ministry together as a couple.

Widow Thoughts
My dear friends,In a mere 2 weeks time on the 4th August I am turning 70 yrs old!
Aunty Google calls it a Platinum Birthday: "A specific traditional descriptor often used for the 70th year, symbolizing strength, endurance, and precious wisdom."
Sounds rather marvellous, although I wouldn’t describe myself as any of the above. I'm more like "keep holding me Lord!"

Bent Forks & Point-less knives :-)
Every time I feel the unevenness of a fork in my mouth, I smile at the memory of Gj using the kitchen cutlery in the garden, or as a tool to open things - and I wonder if any of my friends also have husbands who, instead of taking thetrouble to fetch a real tool, take the quick way out - and we find our cutlery draw containing bent forks and point-less knives?- Click here to download this News item (PDF - 323.3Kb)

Whose pudding is this?
Hellooo friends! My very necessary, 4 days in Cape Town for Una's 70th birthday was beyond incredible! It’s been nearly 9 years since the passing of their daughter Andrea and she is still missed at every event.
God stepped into a dire situation and turned it into a most perfect evening for her fabulous party in their small back yard.

Creatures and Lipstick
My dear friends! No sooner had my little mouse passed away - when my sleepy eyes beheld a big, fat albino gecko on the wall above my pillow.
"Oh my God, my God - how will I sleep tonight? What if this thing falls on me and gets stuck in my hair?" was my plea!
